Why I Love Journaling
A while back I wrote that journaling is a way in which many of us cope with the stress of life. Coming to South Korea as a full-time student has been both a shock and a blessing. While I have loved my stay here, it is true that the cultural shock, the differences between educational systems, and the whole โstart being a real adultโ experience have had me on the verge of tears a couple of times.
So I went back to journaling. At first, it was just drabbles, brain dumps, and other very ugly drawings in the back of my notebook. But, once I realized I had started journaling, I got myself an actual journal and started plastering in those pages, expressing my heart out. And, while writing about my day makes me feel more relaxed, it also helps me reflect on my actions. I can leave all the pent-up emotions there on the paper. Plus, I also enjoy it when my journal looks cute.

So, knowing that, my roommate took me to Tenbyten for my birthday. If you are a stationery lover like me, and you happen to be near one of the Tenbyten stores, I recommend you either run, or go in โat your own risk. I have spent more money there than I am willing to admit.
Lately, I have been very into Journaling Tiktoks. I am not very big on social media, and I definitely identify with millennials more than with Gen Z. However, I enjoy scrolling through the app and finding inspiration for my own journal. I also started going on Pinterest daily, which is a journaling rabbit hole in itself.

The aesthetics I wanted my new journal to fulfill were hard to find in Daisoโs stickers and stationery. This is mainly because I wanted a more mature look for my new journal, and Daiso sells mainly kid-oriented stickers.ย
So, upon entering Tenbyten, my eyes lit up.
It was filled with cute stuff, adorable stickers, journals, pensโฆ you name it! They have it! The prices were reasonable and the quality of the products was amazing. I got so many stickers, I have my journal filled with pages and pages of different themes and I have been trying to learn lettering so I can make it even more pleasing to the eye.

The best part of this store? It has several locations all over Seoul and Korea, and they also have an online shop. The website is in Korean, so I recommend going in with patience and a translator in hand.
