Best Cafes With a View in Seoul

Cafes with a view anyone? Seoul’s diverse landscape offers scenic views to suit every taste. From N Seoul tower to Han River, there’s nothing better than fresh coffee or cake to accompany an iconic view.

Cafe Moonee: Namsan View

Haebangchon has plenty of rooftop cafes with the perfect view of Namsan Tower. One of them is Cafe Moonee

Moonee is a rooftop cafe located in Huam-dong, Yongsan-gu, just a few steps away from The 100 Factory. You can take your drink, sit on the rooftop and enjoy the breeze. They also have a food menu with plenty of desserts.

  • Address: 37 Sinheung-ro 20-gil, Huam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, South Korea
  • Hours: 11:00-22:00. Open everyday.

Starbucks: Han River View

Formerly Coffee Wave, this is no run-of-the-mill franchise coffee shop branch. This floating cafe offers the perfect view of Han River.

With the wind blowing and the waves gently falling against the boat-like cafe, you can enjoy a fresh breeze even during the summer. Furthermore, it is located inside Seoul Wave Art Centre, an interesting afternoon out in itself.

  • Address: Jamwon-ro 145-35, Seocho-gu, Seoul
  • Hours: 08:00-22:00. Open everyday.

Bukchon Asian Culture Museum: Hanok View

The terrace cafe at Bukchon Asian Culture Museum offers a view that will take you back in time. It is located at the top of Bukchon Village with a view of the ancient hanok rooftops. There is no entrance fee, but you should order a drink to sit on the terrace like any other cafe. The cafe itself is decorated beautifully with an assortment of antiques.

It’s a great place to relax while sipping on tea or coffee after a tour of the Bukchon Hanok Village.

  • Address: Bukchon-ro 11-gil 76, Jongro-gu, Seoul
  • Hours: 10:00-18:00. Closed on Mondays.

Seoulism: Lotte World Tower View

Seoulism is a cafe in Jamsil with an incredible view of Lotte World Tower. Moreover, it is perhaps the most instagrammable cafe in Seoul.

Located right in front of Seoul’s tallest skyscraper, the cafe’s neon Seoul sign makes it the perfect instagrammable shot. Order the drinks on the 1st floor and go up to the 6th floor for the view. I personally enjoyed their smoothies more than their coffee. Additionally, you can take classes such as yoga and flower arranging, as well as seeing musical performances.

  • Address: Yes Building (6th Floor), Baekjegobun-ro 435, Songpa-gu, Seoul
  • Hours: 13:00-17:50 and turns into a bar from 18:00-24:00. Closed on Mondays.
