Busan is the second largest city in South Korea after Seoul. I have lived in Busan for one year; therefore, I have visited many cafes in the city. However, today I want to introduce you to my favorites cafes in Seomyeon area that I have visited many times.
Seomyeonย is considered the central commercial hub of Busan. Itโs an ideal place for shopping, food and entertainment, much like how Hongdae is in Seoul.
Seomyeon is a trendy place among Korean young adults as well as foreigners.
Modern Table
During my one year stay in Busan, Seomyeon was my favorite area to relax and relieve all my stress. Hence I used to visit Modern table pretty much every weekend! Because it just had that calm and peaceful vibe.

From coffee to dessert this place was heaven on earth. As I mentioned before I visited Modern table every weekend, so I have tried many of their dessert and drinks.
Therefore, if you ever visit this cafe I recommend you to try either their double shot latte or the tiramisu drink.

For desserts, if you ever visit Busan from November until May then please make sure to try their strawberry waffle. It is just the best waffle I have ever had in my whole life, and I can not stop reminiscing about it!
Vintage 38

Personally I donโt have a specific cafe theme or aesthetics that I like. But I really enjoy discovering cafes with different themes. Another cafe that I liked when I was in Busan is Vintage 38.
It is a very vintage, moody place as the name โVintage 38โ suggests.ย This cafe was originally an old factory but it was remodeled, decorated with brick and cement walls, and antique pieces. It is one of the famous places for young adults to take instagram pictures!
Besides they have good drinks, and a variety of desserts.
Matin Coffee Roasters
The last cafe that I would like to share with you is Matin cafe. It is one of my top three cafes in Seomyeon, Busan. It is unique and charming in a different way. The first time I visited this place I was surprised! It was written in the entrance of the cafe that they do not provide wifi to their clients. So people can stop looking at their screens and enjoy their cafe and have memorable conversations with their friends.

And to be honest, my friends and I spent hours and hours talking and sharing our life experiences. It was a good day! Besides, matin cafe have one of the best waffles you can find in Busan. Which I recommend you to try when you visit Matin cafe.
