Gujora Beach
There are numerous beaches to select from on Geoje island. Gujora Beach, located on the south-eastern shore, is one of the most beautiful in my opinion. It is a 30-minute drive from Gohyeon and a 20-minute trip from Okpo. When the weather is nice, the appeal of this beach is the stunning color of the ocean and the fine sand to rest on.
Oedonursery Cafe
If you plan to visit Gujora beach, you should not miss the cafe there. This establishment is known as Oedo Nursery. Itโs a beautifully ornately furnished cafe housed in a structure resembling a greenhouse.
There are numerous plants and flowers, and the highlight of the venue is the magnificent deck and seats outside, where you can enjoy the views while sipping one of their excellent drinks on sunny days. So, if youโre in Geoje, donโt miss out on this cafe. You will not be sorry for visiting here.
Hakdong Pebble Beach
Geoje Island is well-known for its numerous pebble beaches. These beaches are entirely constructed of rocks, as opposed to ordinary sand beaches, which are soft on your feet. Hakdong Beach is one of Geojeโs most well-known.
When you arrive here, you will be astounded by what you find. It is only a short drive from Gujora beach. There are thousands of soft, nearly perfectly polished stones/pebbles in place of the sand.
Climb Gyeryongsan
This is one of the more accessible walks, with paths beginning in the city of Gohyeon on Geoje Island. In fact, if you are visiting Geoje from elsewhere on the island, you may easily take a taxi from the bus terminal to the trailheads.
The simplest method to get there is to ask a taxi driver to take you to (gyeryongsa), a little temple at the foot of the mountain. You should be able to find a trail to the summit of the mountain from there. Most treks to the summit of the mountain should take you 45 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, depending on your fitness level. Gyeryongsan is 566 meters high, and from the top, you enjoy spectacular views of the entire island.
Windy Hill
This is arguably the most well-known activity on Geoje Island. Itโs a hill that protrudes from the main land and is home to a stunning windmill.
It rose to prominence as the filming location for several well-known Korean dramas, including Eveโs Garden and Merry-Go-Round. As a result, many tourists visit here these days to photograph the gorgeous surroundings and location.
