Cafe Choryang 1941 is old Japanese style house. And This house cafe built in 1941. These days Cafe Choryang is hot place amongst Instagram photographers and bloggers.
The Choryang 1941 is reminiscent of Japanese houses. Because Korea used to be under the occupation of Japanese imperialism. Therefore, we can still see the traces of Japan in some buildings in Korea today. But still this cafe is a nice place where you can enjoy mountain view behind and city view in front. The Choryang 1941 became a cafe after the remaking of the Japanese house that normally existed. The cafe opened in 1 January 2017. After opened by a cafe people get interested and more than 200 people visit it daily. It has been 3 years since the cafe was opened, but people from other cities still come here because they are curious. We can say that it became a kind of touristic place.
Lets start to visit Cafe Choryang 1941. This is the entrance door. I have to tell you, I guess Japanese are short, because buildings, doors etc. very low.
You can enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere in the cafe and take pictures. Almost every people came here to take pictures. So do I. You can take beautiful pictures in here.
There is a place for about 20 people in the cafe. And whenever you go, almost everywhere is full. So here is really famous cafe in Busan. You must see this!
There is a lot of section in this cafe. Here there is small tables so I did not stay here. Because it was not comfortable.
I must also say that even the road to the toilet looked beautiful.
Every part of this cafe like a museum. If you like old items, this is the place for you! There is a lot of antique things.
I went to this cafe twice. Because I love the view here. I went once in winter and once in summer. I think the mood is different in both seasons. I liked going to the cafe more in summer.
If the weather is nice, you can sit inside or outside in the Choryang 1941. There are benches for you to sit outside. You can enjoy your view and also drink your coffee milks!
About Menu
In the day, they are sell Choryang milk, in the night sell the best of Busan beer. The menu is based milk. So the bestseller in the menu; vanilla milk, coffee vanilla milk, matcha milk tea. But there are variety of milk you havenโt taste before. Like ginger milk, camellia milk, coconut milk, milk tea, omija tea etc. Also there are a lot of delicious dessert in the menu.
It was difficult to choose a drink from to menu. All looks like delicious.
We ordered coffee vanilla milk and green tea milk.
When I got to the cafe, I tried to sit by the window side. Because you can enjoy the view while you drink your milk.
Usually people go here in the morning. Because the cafe owner prepares drinks in the morning. Sometimes there are situations where they have to close early if their drinks run out.
Unfortunately, we could not find the opportunity to stay and taste their beer until evening. But next time I go, I will definitely drink beer. If you want to enjoy the atmosphere and drink beer, be sure to stop by in the evening.
If you go outside you can enjoy the view of Busan. The Choryang Neighborhood is famous place. There is a lot of things to you must see. Near the Choryang Cafe there is Choryang 845. Choryang 845 is a restaurant. Maybe you can go to the Choryang 845 and eat some delicious food and after that you can go to the Choryang 1941. I want to try this course too.
Transportation
If you prefer the take the subway; you should get off in Choryang Station in Line 1. After that exit from the Exit 1 or 3. You can take a taxi or walk. If you take a taxi it will be take about 7 minutes. But I have to tell you it is rapid slope so you need the a good cardio.
If you prefer to take a bus you should get off at Geumsusa bus station. After that you will arrive in 1 minute. The bus numbers to the cafe are as follows; 22,38,52,86 and 186. If you want to get off at Hwashin Apart. bus station you can take these bus; number 190 and 508.
If you prefer to go with your car you can go easily. Also parking area is available.
