Did you know that there is a bridge in Korea that was recognized by The Guinness Book of Records in 2008 as the longest bridge fountain in the world? It is the Banpo Bridge (๋ฐํฌ๋๊ต) in Seoul. A must-visit location for tourists especially the Kdrama fans as there are a lot of Korea drama that filmed there.

The Banpo Bridge is known for its Rainbow Fountain (๋ฐํฌ๋๊ต ๋ฌ๋น๋ฌด์ง๊ฐ๋ถ์) which has 380 water jets that dance in dazzling and illuminating multi-colored lights. This spectacular fountain show is the main attraction of the bridge which charms the tourists both locals and foreigners. In addition to the water and ever-changing lights, the fountain show is also accompanied by synchronized music which lasts for 20 minutes.

How to get there
- Take Seoul subway and get off at Express Bus Terminal Station, Exit 8-1. Go straight for 250 meters, turn right at the first main intersection to Banpo-daro. Continue walking for about 400 meters, cross the road to the underpass ahead to arrive at the park. Approximately 15 to 20 minutes of walk.
- Ride Blue Bus no.740 and get off at Banpo Hangang Park Bus Stop.

The Banpo Hangang Park [๋ฐํฌํ๊ฐ๊ณต์] is located south of the river which centers Banpo Bridge in between the Hamnam Bridge (upstream) and Dongjak Bridge (downstream). The park is equipped with facilities for sports that both kids and adults will definitely enjoy. In addition, there are pinnic spots, boat quay and bike line that are perfect for weekend getaway.

Some Sevit


Some Sevit or Sebitseom [์ธ๋น์ฌ] is a cultural complex located on artificial islands in BanpoHan River and is the riverโs landmark. As a matter of fact, it is the worldโs first floating structure with buildings that can float on water. It consists of three glowing islands that illuminate the Han River at night. The complex has four buildings namely Yevit, Gavit, Solvit and Chavit which respectively hold their own activities and programs.
