One of the icons of Hollywood’s golden era, Audrey Hepburn remains one of the greatest style icons and one of the world’s most successful actresses of all time. I bet most of you would not be unfamiliar with her face. She was not only very talented, but her beauty and elegance extended into real life as well.
The actress had such a good personality , being a role model and philanthropist. Maybe this explain why Koreans are so obsessed with her. The star of “Breakfast at Tiffany’s is everywhere in the country, from stores to cafes.
I get why she’s so popular in Korea, since I’m obsessed with her as well. She is sheer beauty inside and out, also her movies are amazing. So as a huge fan, I just freaked out when I found out that in Seoul there is an Audrey Hepburn’s themed cafe. This place was the number one on my bucket list when I came to South Korea and it was totally worth it.
About the decor
Audrey Hepburn Cafe is a coffee shop inspired and established focusing on her. The place created the same classy and elegance energy that she had. With the concept created by her son, Luca Dotty, the establishment is the world’s first franchise cafe in partnership with the Audrey Hepburn Foundation.
At the cafe was created a small garden expressing a comfortable European home garden style. According to her son she enjoyed home gardening, so it’s a like a place created by her.
The place blend the museum elements into a cafe. Containing various collections and stuff related to the actress displayed, the coffee shop is such a paradise to the fans. Besides that, you can also buy a lot of beautiful souvenirs like books, china and bags. I couldn’t control myself, so I bought an eco bag, that costed 14.ooo won. I couldn’t leave the cafe without buying something with her beautiful face.
About the food
The cafe offers a wide range of beverages and snacks, which are delicious and compared to another themed cafes is not very pricy. I ordered a cream cheese bread, a red velvet cake, a latte, a strawberry drink and an ice cream. All combined was 25.000 won.
I love the vibe of Audrey Hepburn Cafe and I would definitely comeback. If you are a fan of the actress like me, you shouldn’t miss the opportunity of being in a place all dedicated to her. It feels magical.
How to Get to Audrey Hepburn Cafe
You can take subway number 6 (brown line) and leave the train at the stop Mangwon. Then take Exit 1, turn left and keep walking straight. Soon you’ll see the cafe.
