Accommodations in Busan Under $20 per Night

Whenever you are planning a trip, one of the most important things that you have to decide on is the place where you will be staying. It could be very expensive based on location, the inclusive dates of your travel, and the type of lodging that you prefer. In Korea, the cost of lodging also varies based on those factors. Particularly in Seoul, accommodations in famous tourists attractions can hurt your wallet. While accommodations in Busan, the country’s largest port city and a famous summer destination, prices could be cheaper in some areas especially if it’s non-peak season. To help you plan your trip, here are some accommodations in Busan under $20 per night that I have personally tried staying in. Note that I mostly book my accommodations in Korea via Agoda and AirBnb, whichever has the cheapest offer. For more smart tips in booking your lodging in Korea, click here.

Kimchee Haeundae Guesthouse

In late spring of 2021, my friends and I stayed at Kimchee Haeundae Guesthouse. We chose this place because of its proximity at Haeundae beach and of course, its affodarbility. We booked a room with a private bathroom good for 4 persons in this accommodation. But they also have variety types of room for solo travelers, couples, and groups.

Kimchee Haeundae Guesthouse is just few walks away from the Haeundae beach which makes it a perfect place if you want to spend more time at the beach and nearby tourist attractions. It’s not that fancy but the rooms are neat and equipped with aircon. They also provide towels and other essentials such as shower gel and shampoo. Moreover, they also have a common area where you can rest or have your meal.

Room Price per Night

Each person only paid around $13 to $15 per night for a Triple Room with Private Bathroom.

Sukbak Dot Com Guesthouse

Next is one of my favorite accommodations in Busan that I have tried in the recent years. This is the Sukbak Dot Com Guesthouse located near the Busan (KTX) station. Actually, I booked this place in a such a rush because I suddenly decided to extend my stay in Busan and my current guesthouse then had no available room anymore.

What I like about this place is its cleanliness friendly staff. They are also very organized and everything are properly labeled. I stayed in a 6-bed dormitory for female only but there were just three of us at the room at that time.

They also have a designated storage area for your shoes as you are only allowed to use their provided slippers inside the accommodation. Another good thing about this place is that they provide free breakfast such us coffee, bread and milk. You can also find travel guides at the common area in case you still haven’t decided yet on your Busan itinerary. The only downside there is that the way to the guesthouse is full of bars so on your way, you might see some people who are either drunk or staff offering you to get inside the bar. But other than that, I highly recommend this place.

Room Price per Night

I only spent around $7 for a 1 night stay at Sukbak Dot Com Guesthouse.

Nampo Orange Guesthouse

Also on this list of affordable yet good accommodations in Busan Nampo Orange Guesthouse. I recommend this place is you planning to visit nearby tourist attractions such as Busan Tower, BIFF, and others which you could visit by just walking. The location of this place is on the highway which makes it very accessible to public transportations like the Busan subway and the buses. The room where I stayed is a 4-bed dormitory type but during that time, I was the only one occupying it.

Although I had a hard time looking for its building due to change in its appearance and slow replies from the owner, I still had a great time staying there. The staff were very friendly and I was really surprise when they even cooked pasta for us the next morning.

Room Price per Night

I only paid around $7 per night at Nampo Orange Guesthouse including a free breakfast.

K-Guesthouse Premium (Nampo)

Another place where I stayed in Busan is the K-Guesthouse Premium in Nampo. Similar to Nampo Orange Guesthouse, it is also near the Busan Tower, BIFF and many other tourist destinations in Nampo. If you have big luggage, you don’t have to worry because their building is equipped with an elevator.

Their room was also neat and clean and I really love their comfy beds. Aside from that, they also have a common dining area where you can prepare your breakfast for free. They provide ramyeon, eggs, bead, cereals, milk and coffee. You can also have a taste of the famous chocopie in Korea which they provide for free as well.

Room Price per Night

Each person paid about $20 per night during our stay at K-Guesthouse Premium.
