A hidden gem behind a bus stop: Japanese Curry Restaurant

Never thought I will find a surprise right behind a bus stop near 응암 area. This tiny Japanese fusion restaurant is situated right behind a bus stop, giving the shop its name 정거장뒤 (behind bus stop). 

How to get there? 

Since the name of the shop is literally Behind Bus Stop, getting there by bus would be the most ideal way. Taking any of the following buses: 7611, 7018, 7017 and 7021, and alight at the bus stop: 응암초등학교 정류장(12164) will bring you directly to its doorstep.

Unlike the ordinary shop we visit, the shop is rather small but it gives a cozy feeling thanks to its creative decorations. With a combination of an old style beverage fridge and cute hand drawn and handwritten menus, sticky notes and other decorations, it gives the stop itself a unique trait and stands out from the other restaurants. 

What are its specialties? 

The shop specializes in Japanese curry available in three flavors, original curry, tomato curry, and cream curry. Alongside curry as the main dish, it also offers various drinks and desserts at an affordable price.

It also has an additional seasonal menu which differs every month. Sometimes it will be a salad or pasta.

We ordered one of each of the curries during our visit. Each serving comes with a cup of yoghurt, a tiny salad and pickled radish.

Food and ambience of the shop is splendid. The owner of the shop is very friendly as well. Highly recommended for curry lovers.
