Public pools in Seoul
Hangang swimming pools
Hangang swimming pools are the most convenient summer getaways that can be easily accessed via public transportation.
Not only do the pools offer visitors a place to swim inside the city, but they also serve as an affordable summer getaway for the locals. Fully equipped with adult pools, youth pools, children and kiddie pools, lockers, changing rooms, shower facilities, sunbed, and more, Hangang swimming pools also have amenities like food booths and stores for the convenience of its visitors.
NOTE They usually open around mid-June until the end of August. But as of now there are no information about their opening due to COVID.
Hotel pools in Seoul
Banyan Tree Seoul
The Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul is a private members club and public hotel, and with a small number of rooms, making it super exclusive! With only 16 rooms and 18 suites the pool is as private as it comes- and what a pool!
Overnight hotel guests are given the distinction of being club members, and so are allowed to use the pool and other spa facilities. While there are many interesting and exciting amenities at the hotel, our favorite was the stunning Oasis Pool!
Now for the prices, here you can find the whole list. As of now it is 90,000KRW per Adult during the week and 110,000KRW during the weekend.
Grand Hyatt Seoul
The Grand Hyatt Seoul is one of the most popular hotels in Seoul. Located in the heart of Itaewon, sitting on top of a hill with stunning views of Seoul and Itaewon.
On top of that the hotel has a pool. Only open to hotel guests or gym members! But luckily during Summer they tend to make special promotions, so I will keep you updated on that.
From the pool you can get a panoramic view on Han River from the South, and Namsan mountain on the North. The Olympic sized pool is perfect at any hour, stay a little longer and enjoy the sunset~
The Shilla Hotel pool
Perhaps, the prettiest. Now picture yourself in this lovely pool with a view on Namsan and the forest away from the hectic city life.
THE hotspot for celebrities visiting Seoul, you have great views of Namsan Mountain and the tranquility of a forest trail, but much better, this “urban island” idea has created a refuge in the middle of the metropolis! With entrance limited to hotel guests and fitness club members, keep an eye out for summer discounts at the hotel!
As mentioned, unfortunately this pool is limited to the Fitness club memebers and the guests of the Hotel.
They are currently doing an Urban Island package special, it includes the admittance to the pool from Monday to Friday only for two people as well as the gym and indoor pool.
