On the second day if our 3D2N trip, we moved on to a city not too far from Busan, called Tongyeong. It was a 2-hour ride on our group’s private bus, so it might be a similar duration with cars.
Tongyeong is a harbor city similar with Busan with other specialty, one of which is its seashell crafts! This is my second visit to Tongyeong. On my first visit, I was also introduced to the seashell craft and join a crafting class. At that time we were decorating chopsticks with seashells, but this time we went to a different place, called Tongyeong Traditional Craft Hall, where we will decorate a hand mirror.
1. Teongyeong Traditional Craft Hall
This place is not that big, but it has a huge front store of selling finished furniture, and a room at the back where we are having the class to experience seashell decorating. Follow this link to find this place on Googel Map:
Tongyeong Traditional Craft: 642 Donam-dong, Tongyeong-si, Gyeongsangnam-do
I did a live session on Intagram (since the free wi-fi here is working so great, haha!), and you can check it out on my IGTV (@tizzyy). I showed everything since the beginning part of the class, until I finished (actually our teacher did the most of my mirror, because I think he was concern I paid more attention on my Instagram, rather than putting more stuff on my mirror, lol; it’s alright, he knows I mean well, hihihi).
2. Yacht sailing at Hansan Marina Resort
We missed our chance to enjoy night yacht sailing in Busan but thank goodness we got another chance to enjoy day yacht sailing in Tongyeong! Although it was raining just a little bit at the beginning of the sail, but we were thankful enough that the rain stopped for a while so we can enjoy the sailing and taking nice pictures on the yacht.
Here is the link for you to find Hansan Marina Resort on Google Map:

3. Cafe hopping
We spent the rest of the afternoon to evening to just chill at a cafe. Tongyeong has an area that is filled with loads of cafe options, perfect for cafe hopping. The are is nearby the Teongyeong Jungang Traditional market. Just the opposite way of the market’s main entrance, crossing the port/plaza.
When choosing the perfect cafe to hangout, we went through the Kakaomap app to filter the cafe’s on the area. Once we have a contender, we searched its Instagram just to make sure, you’ve guessed it, Instagram-able! Lol.. and we found cafe By Side!
Follow this link on Google Map if you are interested to go to that cafe too:
By Side cafe: 190-14 Hangnam-dong, Tongyeong-si, Gyeongsangnam-do
Finally, I’ll show you why we fell in love with this cafe so hard! I also made some aesthetic posts on my stories. Checkout my highlight called “Teongyeong #wowkorea” on my I rnstagram profile (@tizzyy).
The menu to choose from.
The interior that makes you go amazed that they put so much effort to make us feel comfortable hanging out there.
We had a really good time just talk and enjoy the food there, that we went out of there feeling so content and recharged. I really recommend this cafe! Moreover, when we went out of the cafe, it was already getting dark and the plaza by the port was getting alive with a busker singing a nice song. The atmosphere was perfect, we were lucky to get a chance to enjoy the moment.
For this trip, we did not stay at Tongyeong, instead we spent the night at our next destination: Geojae Island; so, after the cafe hangout, we went for dinner and headed to a pension in Geojae island. That’s all for second day’s blog post, hope you enjoy it and see you on the next post, which is the last day of the trip!
