Being a vegan in Seoul is not always easy. All these desserts everywhere that you can not eat is quite disappointing. But don’t worry, there are some vegan dessert spots in Seoul to save the day and i’ll introduce you to my top 5.
As more and more foreigners are coming to Korea, vegan dessert spots in Seoul are on the rise to our pleasure.
I combined a few bakeries and coffee shops to statisfy your sweet tooth.
Craving vegan cakes in Seoul?
1. La Pause
This cafe is located in Sangsu-dong in Hongdae. It has freshly baked vegan, gluten free, whole wheat and plant based cakes.
My favorite is their strawberry cake, so moist and just enough of sweeteness. But they have plenty of other cakes to fit your taste.
Make sure to check out their instagram as they update everyday on what they bake.
They also have different milk options for the drinks.
The place has a cute frenchie vibe with the decoration, the music and the old movies playing on the screen.
Location: Seoul, Mapo-gu, Hapjeong-dong, 412-2번지 1층
How about vegan scones?
2. Rami scones
Rami scones is a new coffee shop that recently opened in Ikseondong. They make whole grain and vegan scones, cookies and even cheesecakes.
Their scones are said to be high in protein, gluten free with no sugar and no butter.
If you’re a fan of scones like me, you’ll find all kinds in this place. From plain ones to matcha, this place is quite a head turner.

A certified Vegan nutritionist?
3. Vegan and beyond Bakery
I discovered this bakery thanks to my fellow expats in Korea. It is run by a certified vegan nutritionist from the US.
It has a variety of gluten free baked goods and my favorite is their banana bread.
And to our pleasure it does nationwide shipping.
They recently made these lovely winter cookies boxes to be delivered to your door.
Location: 129-2 Yeonhui-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul
4. 앞으로의 빵집
I previously talked about this place on my article about Seosulla-gil. Not only it is mouthwatering, it is also vegan. The best of both worlds.
All organic, whole-grain and gluten free baked goods.
You can check out their instagram for more.
Location: 29-1 Samil-daero 32ga-gil, Ikseon-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul
5. The Bakers table
Although not everything here is vegan, it offers some option including food. But that’s not our topic today.
I personally like their pastries and bread but you have to be careful. You can always ask them they will be happy to help.
Location: 244-1, Noksapyeong-daero, Yongsan-gu, Seoul
That concludes my top 5, i hope it came in handy and that it’ll fix your sweet tooth.
