If you live far away from home in a foreign land and you find any particular place to remind you of home, that feeling is pretty special. That is exactly what these 3 restaurants in Seoul did for Me. So, here I am sharing my experiences about these restaurants. Hope you like it and find them intriguing enough to go out and check them.
Indian cuisineย consists of a variety of regional and traditional cuisines native to theย Indian subcontinent. Given the diversity in soil, climate, culture, ethnic groups, and occupations, these cuisines vary substantially and use locally availableย spices,ย herbs,ย vegetables, andย fruits.
Indian food is also heavily influenced by religion, in particular Hinduism, cultural choices and traditions. Indian cuisine reflects anย 8,000-year historyย of various groups and cultures interacting with theย Indian subcontinent, leading to diversity of flavors and regional cuisines found in modern-day India. Later, trade withย Britishย andย Portugueseย influence added to the already diverse Indian cuisine.

The variety that Indian cuisine offers in terms of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is quite impeccable. The aroma of the spices and the oil is addictive in its own and represents a sense of belonging to home even if you are far away from home.
SIGNIFICANCE OF HOME
LIST OF RESTAURANTS:
1. Diwali (๋์๋ฆฌ)
Diwali is one of the best Indian curry restaurants in Seoul. It is a quite exquisitely built restaurant in a not so wide area. Although, it is situated inside a plaza, the uniqueness of this restaurant is not over-shadowed by any means. It is evenly spaced into different eating areas with 2 separate areas for 6 people in the private and 6 other tables for people more than that and even 2 for couple seating.

Location: 1334, Seongnam-daero, Sujeong-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea

2. Bombay Brau Bundang
The Indian cuisine served in Bombay Brau is as diverse as Indian cultures, languages, regions and its climate. Every major region of India brings its own unique dishes and subtle variations to popular dishes.

Bombay Brau is the first restaurant in Korea to combine the distinct flavors of Indian food with fresh beer brewed on the premises. It is unfiltered and unpasteurized and has live yeast while you are having it.

The restaurant works on the Indian philosophy of โAtithi Devo Bhavaโ which translates as โGuest is Godโ. We provide only the freshest ingredients available in the market and are crazy about freshness. So we make Indian cottage cheese and Indian yoghurt on the premises. They get fresh chicken and beef delivered every morning. Due to this focus on fresh items they even have fresh beer.
Location: 562-3, Baekhyun-dong, Bundang-gu Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea

3. Om Nepali Indian Restaurant (์ด๋ ์คํ ๋)
Om restaurant is a typical Nepali Indian restaurant in Seoul. Although it is not a natural Indian restaurant from its roots, it still holds a very high standard in terms of food taste, aroma and also the food quality to match the Indian manner.

It is named after the universal symbol of prayer from Hindu religion. Om is a sacred sound and a spiritual symbol in Indian religions. It signifies the essence of the ultimate reality that is the consciousness.

The whole restaurant is situated in the basement but it still has even space and has abundant lighting. The decorations and the paintings in this entire restaurant resemble the various aspects of the Hindu and Nepali culture. All the seating areas have their own sense of privacy. The food is always fresh and the quality is unmatched.
Location: 103 Seoul, Saemunan-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea

Food Review with Pictures:
Well, the thing about food is that no matter how vividly you may try to explain the taste and aroma, the judge can only be the person who has eaten it or maybe seen it. Therefore, with these following images, I will leave it all to your imagination and good judgement to decide how the food was because for me, the sense of home was good enough in all the 3 places to take me back there again and again.

But still, I will assure you that if you are ever craving the real Indian taste and are hungry to the core of your soul, you will not be disappointed even a tiny bit to visit any of these 3 restaurants. The standard of food is pretty amazing and the cuisine itself is so diverse that trying all the options in one try is not going to happen. Therefore, you find another reason to visit these restaurants for multiple times.
