The Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) announced that it will hold the 2023 F/W Seoul Fashion Week for five days from Wed, Mar. 15 to Sun, Mar. 19, showcasing the fall and winter fashion trends of 2023.
While this year’s Seoul Fashion Week will be held as a 100% on-site fashion show, it will also be streamed live on the Seoul Fashion Week’s official YouTube channel (@SFW_official) for international viewers to tune in and experience Seoul’s fashion.
The global honorary ambassador for the 2023 F/W Seoul Fashion Week will be NewJeans, a global sensation that reached the US Billboard Hot 100 within just six months of debut and has sold over million copies for two albums. The promotional video of NewJeans will premiere on Sat, Feb. 25 via Seoul Fashion Week YouTube (@SFW_official).
In this promotional video, NewJeans is seen wearing mix-match outfits from Seoul Fashion Week participating brands (e.g. ULKIN, BLR BLUER, AJOBYAJO) to promote the work of designers participating in Seoul Fashion Week to the world.
The 2023 F/W Seoul Fashion Week will be divided into three major events: fashion show of 30 designer brands; the largest trade show in Korea with 130 overseas buyers from 27 countries; and various citizen participation programs that combine fashion and innovative technology.
The city will hold a special event to invite public viewers to fashion show from Thu, Feb. 23 to Mon, Mar. 6 to make Seoul Fashion Week more accessible and friendly to the general public. Anyone interested can select and apply for the fashion show they want to watch during the application period on the official Seoul Fashion Week website (seoulfashionweek.org), and invitations will be sent to the winners starting from Tue, Mar. 7.
