I love Korea. But before I moved here, I knew nothing about the country except what I watched in K-dramas. Like for everything in life, there are pros and benefits to living in the country!
So, here are my top 10 things I love about living in South Korea: the pros.
1. Organization
One of the first things I love most about living in South Korea โ everything just works! The postal and delivery service is incredibly fast and top-notch. All public services are managed efficiently. There are nearly never issues with power or infrastructures.
2. Festivals
Before coming to Korea, I thought festivals were a one-off. Here in Korea, there are festivals for almost everything. There is a beer festival, fermented seafood, annual harvest, Buddhaโs birthday, name it, there is a festival for it. Additionally, There are elaborate fireworks display for every festival.

3. Public Restrooms.
Having a public restroom is a good thing but clean restrooms at no cost, thatโs luxury! From the subway stations to roadside rest stops, public restrooms are so clean you eat in them. They are also equipped with toiletries such as tissue papers to clean up, soaps to wash and a basic dryer to dry the hands.
4. Safety
Korea is relatively safe compared to other places. You could walk into a convenience store at night, forget your purse on a bus like I have, twice and get it back. This is one reason I love Korea. I think this is majorly due to the fact that there are CCTV cameras everywhere and no one wants to get caught.
5. Beautiful scenery
Korea is a beautiful country with a great landscape. Gems are littered everywhere in the city. There are parks and the countryside is filled with colourful flowers and green rivers and cool rivers.
6. Public transportation
Public transport in Korea is world-class efficient and is one of the pros of living in the country! The buses and trains are cheap and travel to locations all over the country. This is one reason living in Korea is affordable.
7. Free Wi-Fi
There is free Wi-Fi on buses, bus stops, subway station, cafรฉ and I mean everywhere.
There are call buttons in almost all restaurants that can be pressed to call the attention of the waiter. You donโt need to scream at the top of your lungs. Close to this is the culture of numbering. If you make a purchase at a cafรฉ or eatery, you will be handed a receipt containing your order number, that way, once your order comes through, you just go pick it up.
9. Affordable Life
One of the things I love about Korea is that with the little you earn; you can live comfortably. Transportation is affordable, rent is depending on where you live, the cost of food is also affordable.

10. Side dishes
Going to a restaurant, you can expect more side dishes than the actual meal. They arrive seconds after you sit, and you can ask for more!
